Money & Faith Retreats ".
. . the euphoria of that extraordinary weekend remains as full as it was
while we were there all together at Wellspring. . . . my sense is that this has indeed been a
transforming experience." At the core of a Ministry of Money retreat is the space and the freedom to ask questions and attempt to find our own answers. A two, three or four day retreat provides a safe and supportive setting to get in touch with our feelings about money; to think about the role money plays in our life and in our society and world; and to reflect theologically on the place of money in our own personal and collective spirituality. Whether just beginning to look at money issues or having been on the money and faith journey for some time, anyone can benefit from further exploration and reflection within a loving and supportive community. Ministry of Money retreats include: Money & Faith Retreat
-
the cornerstone of the Ministry of Money. This retreat provides a forum
for open sharing in an atmosphere of love, trust, and confidentiality
that enables us to examine our values and get in touch with our
feelings, beliefs, attitudes, and actions regarding money. Exploring
biblical, psychological and social & economic justice dimensions of
money, the basic retreat openly confronts and discusses the power of
money so that we might better understand its purpose and place in our
lives as people of God. Ministry of Money partners with churches and
groups around the country to coordinate regional money and faith retreats. One-day and half-day workshops are also available for congregations and conferences. Leadership for Ministry of Money events include staff and Board members and former MoM participants who continue to work with money and faith issues in their lives. Retreat participants come from all economic levels and every stage of the spiritual journey. There are no experts, only people at various points on their own path who are willing to share, encourage, challenge, model and accept us as we struggle toward our own understandings.
